AJ’s Seafood & Oyster Bar is sponsoring its first Annual Art Contest. The overall winning design will be used for the new kid’s T-shirt in AJ’s Gift shop. A portion of sales from this shirt will go to support the Destin Fishing Museum. All submissions will receive a prize & certificate. The winners will be on display September 27, 2008 at the Rodeo kickoff party at AJ’s as well as area businesses in Destin during the month of October.

Artwork Size: 81/2 x 11 or 11x17 Paper Medium: Artist choice

Art Topic: FISHING IN DESTIN

• This contest is open to all children who are age 12 and under and are a resident in the City of Destin Area.
• Only one entry per child will be accepted.
• Entries will be judged on the following criteria: creativity, originality, T-shirt concept and adherence to the art
  topic: Fishing in Destin
• All artwork must be the contestants original, hand-drawn creation. Photographs and computer-generated
  artwork will not be accepted.
• All entries must include: A completed entry form and the original artwork
• No lettering, signatures, or initials may appear on design.
• Do not use any artwork that contains trademarked images.
• Do not Bend or Fold Artwork for Mailing. Artwork must be flat and properly protected if mailed.

Please fill out this Entry Form completely. Entry Forms are to be completed, signed by parent or guardian, and turned in with original
artwork. Please help your child fill out form.

All entries must be turned in to AJ’s Gift Shop or postmarked no later than September 1, 2008.

Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo Round-Up (October 18th)

The third Saturday of October is a family fun day for kids 12 and under! The Rootin’ Tootin’ Rodeo Round-Up takes place from 9:00 a.m. until Noon on the Okaloosa Island Pier. For $10.00 kids 12 years old and younger get a rod and reel (to keep), entry to the pier for themselves and their parents, bait, a Rodeo Round-Up tee shirt and lunch.

Registration begins at 8:30 a.m.! See you on the pier.
